RELASI MADRASAH DAN NEGARA: ANTARA DISKRIMINASI DAN ISU SEKULARISME
Abstract
The aim of this study is to analyse madrasah and state relation within Indonesia’s national education system. Indonesia is one of the biggest Muslim countries througtout the world that establish two education modes, i.e secular and religious education. Historical evidences experience, that unfortunately Indonesia administration prefered for adopting the general schooling system rather than the Islamic educational system. Relationship between government and Islam in Indonesia was high tension between them. The regulation that implemented in Indonesia really oppressed the Islamic education (madrasah and pesantren). Even though in reformation period, there are accomodating efforts from government to empower madrasah by establishing several regulation.
